Reuben was a fraction genius yesterday. He looked at a pizza and was able to learn about one quarter, one half, three quarters and four quarters (one whole) of a pizza. He really understood this and was very pleased with himself for learning this knowledge. I was so pleased with the bubbling enthusiasm he had in his lesson. It was positively infectious. Well done Reuben!
My class have been so amazing during our China topic that they all deserve this award. Throughout this topic and especially this history / geography week, they have had so much enthusiasm. They have collectively created this amazing dragon and we paraded it around the playground yesterday. Well done to the whole class for your collaboration and excellent efforts.
… as you can see, we had fun!
Happy new year everyone!
I am so proud of my children. Over the last two weeks, we have been writing our own blog posts about what we have learned so far in our China topic. In these two lessons, the children have learned to turn on the computer, open up a Word document and then write in it. Some children even chose to find an appropriate picture from the internet by using a search engine and then they used the ‘snipping tool’ to import the picture into their work. Some children wanted to write down the Cooking Week recipe for you as discussed. They have also learned how to save their work and retrieve it for the next lesson.
The posts below are all of the children’s work and I’m sure you’ll agree, they are superb. Fantastic job Nightingale Class!
