@Bristol trip
Wow! What an adventure we’ve had! The children were all amazing on their @Bristol trip. They really enjoyed themselves and learned a lot. Here are just some of the things that they got up to. More will follow soon.
Not long to wait now!
Hello!
We are going to be visiting @Bristol on Monday. Here is the promotional video of @Bristol. Please have a chat with your mum or dad about what you are looking forward to.
Head Teacher Awards 14th October
Tabitha has worked really hard over the last few weeks on her handwriting. She has tried to be neater with more consistent letter formation and better sized letters. I am so pleased with Tabitha’s effort in this. Keep on bettering yourself, it’s a pleasure to see.
Don’t be scared, Ria!
Ria had fun a few days ago. She went to Chew Valley with her family and went on a scarecrow hunt. The scarecrows were all based on books and Ria spotted this one below. Do you recognise it? There is a slippery-slip, a Saucepan Man and a Moon Face. It’s the Faraway tree series. Great spotting, Ria.
Reading times
Hello Team Nightingale!
Just a note to say that we will be reading and changing the books with the children on MONDAY and FRIDAY only from now on. We will not be changing books on Wednesday, but we may still hear some children read. Your child will still need to bring in their book bag everyday as usual. Please go through some of the activities with your child which are on the cover of the new books.
Please pass this on to any Nightingale parents who have not seen this post.
Many thanks
Mr Munro and Mrs Stokes
What a handsome bunch!
We have finally finished our self-portraits.Here they are below. The children worked really hard on these and they look fantastic. Well done Nightingales!
Ria’s super symmetry!
Shadow puppets!
We have been thinking about light and dark in Science. In our lessons, we have discovered that light can sometimes be stopped by objects getting in the way (shadows). The children had great fun testing this theory by making their own shadow puppets on a space theme and then having a go at flying them on a space landscape on the interactive whiteboard. Here are some of the finished results.
